Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions coming to Eriez!eriez
Stewart slated to compete at local speedplant!
Hammett, PA (July 18, 2017): After a very successful visit in 2016 Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will return to Eriez Friday, July 21 for an encore appearance! Last summer, Dale Blaney, from nearby Hartford, OH, was the winner over Sheldon Haudesnchild, Cap Henry, Cole Duncan, and Chad Kemenah. Blaney is the current leading race winner with 134 victories, including seven in 2016. With three wins this season, Chad Kemenah is the current points leader over Ryan Smith, Caleb Armstrong, Caleb Helms, and Max Stambaugh. Two-time NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series Champion Tony Stewart will also be in the field competing for the victory. Stewart has on ASCoC Victory this season, that coming April 1 at Bubba Raceway Park in Florida. Stewart is currently 30th in series points, competing in only eight events.
The Bonnell Auto Group RUSH Crate Late Models and the Nelson Lynwood Street Stocks will also compete Friday with the Bonnell Auto Group RUSH Late Models vying for a $1000 to win payday. The Nelson Lynwood Street Stocks will race for $500 to win. Neither support series will be contesting for points.
Among the top drivers contesting for the RUSH Crate Late Model win will likely be two-time winner Andy Boozel and single winners Jason Genco, the defending champion, Chad Wright, a former champion, and Max Blair, last Sunday’s winner. Also in the running will be Mike Knight, Kyle Zimmerman (a former champion), Dave Lyon, Scott Gurdak, Wyatt Scott, and Kohle Wanzer. Scott and Wanzer are looking for their first-ever Eriez Speedway win.
Don and Chris McGuire, as well as Brandon Groters are the top three Nelson Lynwood Street Stock competitors this season, leading the standing with one win each. Gary Fisher, who has yet to be victorious in feature competition this season, is fourth while John Boardman, a winner June 25th, fills out the top five. Rusty Martz was last week’s Penn Ohio Pro Stock winner.

Eriez Speedway is located on Sampson Road, just off Lake Pleasant Road in the town of Hammett, PA, 3 miles south of Interstate 90. Take Route 8 South from Interstate 90 Exit 29 and follow the signs starting in Hammett. Admission for this special event is $20.00 for Adults, $20 for seniors and military (with ID), children 6 – 15 $8, 5 and under free. A family pass for two adults and up to four kids under 16 is available for $48.00. Pit admission is $35 for all ages. Fan gates open at 5:00 PM and pit gates open at 4:00 PM with the first green flag shown at 7:30 PM.
